Chief Financial Officer

The Role:

The CFO will be a crucial business partner to the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team to guide the business through its continual hyper-growth. They will guide shareholder relations, plan resources and execute the businesses objectives locally and internationally as well as assist the business’ continual expansion into global markets. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage off the significant work delivered in the last 3 years by the current incumbent and will act as the Chief Financial Officer, working collaboratively in partnership with the current incumbent for a smooth transition and handover.

This role is also responsible for leading the finance function which, in partnership with the Financial Controller will ensure the appropriate rigour in the finance process to ensure that the business can continue its significant growth trajectory. This includes building strong commercial capability in the business and managing key stakeholder relationships internally and externally, managing the finance team to ensure they are properly equipped to meet the growing needs of the business in regards to ASX reporting, financial performance, compliance, cash flow/management, treasury and business partnering.

Leadership

Significant experience leading the end-to-end finance function of a multinational, fast-paced technology organisation, in an empathetic and people-focused manner, as well as a willingness to be ‘hands-on’ with operational finance matters to drive successful outcomes. A commercially business partner who will be a strategic advisor in other areas of the business including marketing, sales, product, customer success and people & culture.

Communication Skills

An ability to engage with, guide and influence all levels of stakeholders, internal and external, across various international regions within a matrix organisation, building rapport and developing positive and empathic relationships on a global scale. The ability to demonstrate emotional agility, inspire confidence and creativity within teams.

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant, or equivalent, with membership of a relevant professional organisation (e.g. CPA, CA or CIMA)

Technical finance expert

Commercial acumen, financial management skills, and budget control with advanced analytical ability and attention to detail, with a previous track record preparing accurate and timely financial reports, projections, and statutory accounts across multiple legal entities, regions, and global consolidations. Exploiting digital technology to drive better outcomes and provide insights and commercial decision support. In addition, an ability to investigate and deliver cost savings and efficiencies, and identify improvement opportunities with the view to scaling the company’s growth from $30m to $200m+, including leading and executing capital raises.

Strong grasp of SaaS, cyber security software development, applications, products and services, preferably within a multinational context.
